Hurricanes and Evacuations
That is the basics of what has been occurring here at the moment. Hurricane Irene is bearing down on North Carolina at this point. Yesterday they issued a mandatory evacuation of my city, and I do not blame them. My city is on a spit of land 1 mile wide and eight miles long. It is connected by bridges, and so when the storms do come it will be terrible. I remember as a child floods there were astronomical. I recall the water rising so high it almost reached our doors. While my neighborhood lies over the bridge outside the city I am still worried about everything. I am just hoping everything clears itself up before I move away you know?
