It's struck me that this community hasn't been very busy lately. Since there are so many members I thought maybe something that brought about group effort could liven it up a little. I've seen anonymous fanfic/fanart memes do amazing things elsewhere, so what better way to get both long-time fans and those new to the series involved than to be

“I’m still not sure we should be out here…” Nozomi said nervously, peering over her shoulder as if expecting law enforcement to suddenly appear.
“Relax, Hime-gimi,” Hinoe replied with an easy grin. “The guy I borrowed this boat from knew what I was planning on doing, so I’m sure if there was a problem he never would have agreed to let me take it.”
“...Some days you really make me wonder how it is you manage to do the things you do.” Nozomi worried her lower lip between her teeth but said nothing more, gazing out the side of the small boat at the midnight-colored sea. Hinoe smiled, watching her. He’d cut the motor and just let the craft coast through the water the past twenty meters or so, putting them off the beach of Enoshima far enough that the coastline beyond was a long blur of lights.
Nozomi held her watch up to her face, trying to read the delicate silver hands of its face in the darkness. “Should be starting any minute now,” she reported, gazing up at the sky in anticipation.
“Good, I would hate to make my Hime-gimi wait.” Hinoe grabbed a folded blanket from near his feet and moved across the boat to sit beside her, wrapping the blanket around the both of them.
“Ah, thank you.” Nozomi turned to look at him, a bit surprised to find him closer than she was expecting.
“Anything for you, Nozomi,” he answered with a wink.
She opened her mouth to attempt a reply but was saved from having to do so by a loud whistle and the first bang of an exploding firework. “It’s starting!”
By the quickly-fading and reappearing light, Hinoe watched Nozomi’s mesmerized expression with a fond smile, not minding in the least that he was missing the show in the sky. She broke the moment by suddenly tilting her head and pointing. “Did you see that one, Hinoe-kun? It was heart-shaped!”
“Already, hm?” he murmured to himself and grinned, returning his gaze to the heavens. “I hear the people who make these things have gotten pretty crafty with the shapes of the fireworks.”
Nozomi nodded. “It’s true, last year there were hearts and smiley faces and other ones too...” She trailed off as the fireworks again stole her complete attention. “...What on earth was that one? It looked like a square with something in it.”
“I think it was a box,” Hinoe commented, surreptitiously reaching into the pouch hanging from his belt and pulling out a small hinged box. “Looked like it had a ring in it,” he added as he reached over and set the box in Nozomi’s hand where it lay atop her lap.
“Are you sure? I don’t know-” She broke off and looked down quizzically as something touched her hand. “What’s this?” Nozomi asked, lifting her hand to look at the box properly. Eyes wide, she looked up him. “...Hinoe-kun?”
“Will you open it?” he prompted softly.
Shaking fingers pried open the lid, and Nozomi gasped loudly to see the diamond ring winking up at her, reflecting the multicolored fireworks in the sky. “Hinoe-kun...”
“I love you,” he promised, sincere eyes locked on hers. “A love as bright as the fireworks in the sky and as unfading as the countless stars beyond them.” Hinoe considered saying more, but he wanted her to answer according to her true feelings rather than be swayed by any more pretty words. “...Marry me?”
Tears welled in her green eyes, and Nozomi raised her other hand to dash them away. “I will,” she finally answered, voice choked with emotion.
Hinoe quickly gathered her in his arms, hugging her close. “Don’t cry, Hime-gimi. Let’s enjoy the fireworks.”
