I banged up my third toe pretty bad last week or the week before. It wasn't so bad, but since I would not stay off of it and rigourously kept up with my usual intense excersise regiment (I'm determined to be back at a size 5 before I go to LA in a few weeks... I've already lost quite a bit of weight so I have to keep it up.) I think it's getting worse as it's now red and a bit swollen and it hurts to walk. I'm going to the Student Health Center today in an hour to get it checked out; I have it taped together with my 2nd toe and I try to ice it when I'm at home. I don't know if it's bruised, broken, or sprained. It's probably just sprained as I think if it were broken I would be in way more pain. I'm just waiting for my doctor to tell me "Go home, and don't put any pressure on it for a week." No gym? No yoga? Yeah, right. I have to work and I have my finals coming up next week and all that. I was supposed to wear my pirates costume this weekend for my best friend Kerrie's judo masqurade party and the boots I need to wear are quite uncomfortable so I hope the toe kind of recovers before then. I paid $40 already for my meal and everything and I have my makeup and costume ready. So maybe I'll just hope and pray that the pain goes away and I can put pressure on it. Probably the best thing for me to do is just to sit down and shut up like I know my doctor is going to reccomend because I probably shouldn't risk aggrivating it even worse. I checked it out online and it says that these toe injuries can take up to TEN weeks to heal. TEN WEEKS? Oh well, if I can't excersise, I can always try starvation. Hehehe, or maybe I can lift weights or something. Hopefully it will be ok when I fly down to LA on the 2nd of June because I know I'll be doing a lot of walking once I get there. *sighs* I guess I'll drink a lot of milk to get as much calcium as I can, maybe that will help things along. It's amazing how you take such seemingly insignificant parts of your body totally for granted when they're working ok... but when they're not, man you can feel it all over!
