So I have started my dieting last week. Bought my own food and now am eating Lunch and Breakfast separately from my family. So I am going to say now this is less of a diet and more of an attempt to eat right. And for those of you who know me well as the Coke/7up queen I have actually cut myself to one a day. Drinking more water and all natural tea instead of my usual bubbly 7up fare. It hasn't been such a bad trip though cause I picked up "Eat this, Not that" from work and have since ordered other's in the series. I think I might have lost a bit already (pants feeling loose) but do not quote me on that cause I could just be psycho. My mom however has let me in on key family secrets now and I have found out that just before I was born, she was bulimic.
WTF?? I never would have suspected that of her, but that is apparently how she kept her weight down back in the 70's and why she does not really monitor her, eating habits anymore. She is not worried I will go that route but she is worried I might be depriving myself of food I enjoy. So to that I told her, yeah no I've just been eating other stuff I like as opposed to the stuff I always get when out and about in the world. The only new editions to my diet are, Greek yogurt, Newman’s Salad Dressing, and Capri sun/Minute Maid flavored water. Everything else is just choosing the lower calorie option over the higher calorie one when I go out to eat.
So that is my update. In addition, just so you all know I feel fine and my digestive system seems to be behaving better this week too.
