Wow...it's four in the morning, and I'm still awake. Why?
Okay, so...like...these past few weeks have been rather hectic, and to say in the least, just really fucking...weird. Like I've said, my grandpa has passed away, which kinda sucks, but for those of you that are familiar with my standing with the guy...well...yeah. But, after reading an "invite" to the funeral from my aunt (which I still need to send a thank you note to...bah...-_-;;), he seemed like a pretty interesting guy. I know. Those sorts of things are supposed to make you feel that way regardless of how you felt of him/her earlier. He seemed like a pretty good engineer, and worked in Oregon and the West Indies and stuff like that.
Another big thing is about my production assignments. I was supposed to help build things. I haven't built a thing, and it really infuriates me because it makes me feel 1)like unskilled labour, which I know I'm not (then again, I don't know EVERYTHING) and 2)awful that I'm not going to get this experience. Okay, I understand that the designer's pretty used to working on his own and getting things done faster that way, which is okay, but....seriously...one dress? I'm going to say something before the year's out...
So...I'm also a Senior now (WTF...OMG...AHHHH!!!), and the finals that led up to this...realization, weren't all that bad. Exempting Intro to Lighting. I mean, I did what I could, but when I presented I was all like "dlkghf/kghaehjr'awejdklgfhdsgjlkh..." and that didn't work so well. I just think the paperwork'll talk for itself when he has a look...hopefully T^T;;. BUT! I wasn't as bad as one kid. He didn't even do his. Why would you do that to yourself, y'know?
Shiori and I went on another outing today, which was great. We just got out of lighting, and walked down Forbes. We also decided to pop into Rue 21. Their clothes are kinda...cheaply built, but I mean...three pairs of pants and a mini skirt for thirty-six bucks? Not too bad, man. And I desperately need(ed) pants. I really only had two pairs that I wore. I'm going to Avalon to pawn off the rest.
Tangent. Sorry...
We also got slurpies and headed down to one of the adjoining parks across the street from the Catheral (we were also handed these really weird pamphlets about Jesus, and how Religions are evil...). There was some kind of a "Hare Krishna" drum circle going on as we met up with some friends. We talked for all of ten minutes when a storm began to drift in. Needless to say, Shiori and I walked back in the rain.
...the rest of the day was uneventful. I helped Liv bake cupcakes from a boxed cake mix, but she had found an interesting recipe for pomegranate icing, which involved making pomegranate molasses. It was AWESOME. Jurassic Park and I am Legend happened somewhere in there.
Tomorrow: the costume shop awaits. I have to finish decorating "Golden Eagle" (a Native American...duh -_-;;) and build a dress for a doll (I should take pictures...), then, I suppose, my lord and master will have things for me to do.
OH! and one more thing. I would really love to see people before I go away. Can we hang out sometime soon? We'll talk.
