This is my favorite article from the New York Times. Whenever I read it I´m filled with optimism and hope, and also in it I realize why I can do nothing in my life besides try and change the world.

Too often do I hear people say that things will never change, that the problems of the world have no solution or end. I always think to myself, well why? why can´t people change? Why is it people can say "that´s just the way things ARE." I can´t accept that no matter how horrible life can be.
"Do not tell me that the people in the streets of Bangkok and Bishkek and
Tehran dream in vain of freedom and democracy. Do not tell me that lies
can stand forever."
