So, apparently someone stole our bicycles. Mom's, her husband's and mine. Two of which are so old they can't be worth enough to have lunch at McDonald's. They also weren't stolen from the street, which I'd have expected, though I'd would've been surprised. Nope, they were stolen from the courtyard that people with a key to this house and the one next door should have (and possibly the Church and their kindergarten through the fence, but that seems more far-fetched).
Right now this feels like a targeted attack. Since mom and my bikes really aren't worth much, and her husband's wasn't openly visible. Also, bikes looking like they're worth more are apparently still there (haven't looked yet, it's what my mom told me), so making fast money seems an unlikely motive. And I doubt that their locks are so much better.
Tomorrow we'll look again, ask around the house and then we're going to the police, if nothing comes up, though we're not expecting much from that front.
What really hurts about this is that now mom and her husband are seriously crippled in their mobility, considering we don't really have the money to pay for public transportation. I'm fine, being a student, but they are not. It's either pay with money we can't really spare or don't go anywhere outside a 30-60 min radius.
