In a time when Koyama and Shige are doing their part of gaying each other up like no bodies business there still seems to be a economic slump (I realize that economic slump doesn't exactly work as analogy but you get the idea) in the Koyashige fic department. That is why I like many of the great men/women that run various countries (to be fair I

always did when he was this close to Shige.
“You’re one clumsy one aren’t you? Shige said smiling as he let go off Koyama.
Koyama just stared down at his feet but with a smile on his face, and one could still discern the red colour tinted on his cheek.
“We really should get to the shrine now” Shige said and to Koyama’s surprise Shige grabbed a hold of his hand. His eyes darted from Shige’s hand holding his own to the younger’s brightly smiling face. “So you won’t slip again” and with only that said he started to pull Koyama up the hill, his hand in a firm but a very gentle grip of Koyama’s hand.
With Shige’s help it didn’t take long before they finally reached the shrine. They approached the shrine strairs, with the bell at the top, in silence, ringed the bell, clapped their hands together twice and bowed, both at the same time.
“We should head back so we won’t miss our train” Shige said after they’d clapped their hands another time.
“Yeah, you’re right” Koyama pulled up his sleeve to glance at his watch; the cold air hit his bare skin and gave him goose bumps. He hadn’t noticed how cold it really was and he started shivering, feeling how his jeans were still damp from the snow when he’d tripped over earlier.
Shige saw how Koyama pulled up his shoulder to his ears in another shiver and tried to warm his hands, putting them in the tiny pockets on the front of his thin jacket.
Koyama looked at Shige, who as always had been the smart one of the two and had chosen a warm, trendy looking anorak.
Without hesitating Shige took one step forward so he was standing directly in front of the now trembling with cold Koyama, carefully took out the taller’s slender hands from the thin pockets and placed them, together with his own hands in his huge anorak pockets. This time Koyama couldn’t hide the blush colouring his checks pale red and it didn’t escape Shige either. Slowly he took another step closer to Koyama, their chests almost touching.
For Koyama, this atmosphere was something new. He had hugged Shige so many times before, even in front of thousands of fans but there was something different about this time, how close, extremely close they were. He stopped himself from letting is mouth fall open, trying to say something and instead looked Shige straight in the eyes. He was so close Koyama could see himself reflected in Shige’s warm dark brown eyes.
Before Koyama had the time to think out what to say he found a pair of soft lips brushing against his own. His eyes wide open in shock; he was being kissed by his best friend. Though it only took mere seconds before he slowly gave into the softness of the Shige’s lips. He closed his eyes and started kissing back. It wasn’t a demanding kiss but soft and gentle, similar to the way Shige had held his hand earlier when they walked up the hill.
Feeling kind of stiff with both his hand in his pockets, Shige pulled out his hands and wrapped one arm around Koyama’s small back to pull him even closer and deepen the kiss further, his other hand tangled in Koyama’s soft light brown hair, playing with the longer parts in his neck. Koyama welcomed Shige’s embrace and sighed, smiling into the kiss but still he couldn’t stop himself thinking that Shige must’ve grown a lot recently; he didn’t have to stand on his tip-toes anymore to reach up to Koyama’s face.
When they finally let go each other, both slightly out of breath inhaling in the cool air, Koyama looked up at Shige with a shy smile and his eyes sparkling, matching his smile.

When he’d composed himself enough to say something he suddenly remembered that they had a train to catch!
“Shige! Shige, we’ll be late for our train!” Koyama suddenly shouted, his arms flailing in all directions. He grabbed Shige’s hand and started running down the stairs. ”Come on, we need to hurry!”
“Oi! Koyama, wait, watc…”
With a thump Koyama landed on the, luckily still soft snow below the stairs, not having noticed the slippery snow on one the steps.
“I think someone is in the need of another kiss” Shige smiled as he helped Koyama up for the third time that day.
