Lol there are seriously waaaaay more straights at Pride than any queer folk by like a lot. Though one of my friends was telling me that the Dyke March (which takes place one or two days before Pride) is still pretty awesome because it doesn't do ANY corporate sponsorship, is women-led and organized, and is way more about the community than straight people coming down to crash the fabulous gay party. She never goes to Pride because she hates the corporate-ness of it but she always goes to Dyke March and managed to sell me into going this year. :D

And yeah I was just at a rally at Market and Octavia-ish today, and two of the people who voted for Manning to be grand marshal spoke (one actually nominated him, the other was one of the supporting votes). One of the two guys pointed out that Williams claim that the grand marshal selection process is flawed is not just offensive to Manning but to HIM because he was a grand marshal and that process is how he was selected.

It is a fucking mess, seriously. If it wasn't for protesting I would have no fucking reason to go.
