if you'd have told me a few months ago that people would ACTUALLY be discussing income inequality outside of academic circles I would never have believed it.
IFKR? This is what has had me so inspired, just a few weeks of people out in the streets protesting and the discussion is being shifted back to where it belongs, as opposed to what we've had for years which is the right-wing controlling the discourse and pulling the "center" in their direction while the mainstream left scrambles to run after it. I've met so many people, even Republicans who are NOT your typical Dem or leftie or whatever out there on the streets who are mad as fucking hell about what is going on. This movement is truly nonpartisan. (And I think it will finally show the politicians in poer for what they really are, because the one thing we've always heard is that at least some of the Dems are "on our side" but are just too afraid of losing elections to vote and work in favor of the people's interests... but now there is an obvious critical mass of people saying "WORK FOR US OR GTFO, DAMN IT" and a clear majority of peopl \e support the #Occupy movement so if they still can't grow a fucking spine, then the proof is in the pudding.)
