Few weeks later…
It was finally the day of Kame’s wedding. All of her family and Tomo’s had gathered in a beautiful country club outside Tokyo; anxiously waiting for the big ceremony in the club’s garden.
Fresh flowers are everywhere; with the crowd chatting happily under the bright sun. The bride and groom were busy with their own preparation; both physically and mentally.
“Ne, Tat-chan…do I look pretty?” Kame asked; eyes full with anticipation while waiting for her makeup to be done.
Tatsuya sighed and quietly left the room. She couldn’t believe that Kame would be this oblivious. While abusing the flower petals on her hand, she kept rolling her eyes; ignoring Kame’s rants from inside the room. ‘How could she be so..…slow?’ Tatsuya thought. She gave thousands of hints for Kame to realize that she’s actually in love with Jin, not Tomo. Akanishi Jin is a bastard, of course…Tatsuya doesn’t like him even one bit when Kame first introduced her new boyfriend some time ago. But then, when she saw the way he makes her laugh..immediately Tatsuya knows that he is the guy that would be Kame’s perfect match.
“Princess.” Ryo suddenly poked her.
“What?”
“Bakanishi’s here.”
“….Er..of course he’s here…Jin’s the best man today..”
“Well…he doesn’t look so….how do I say this…’Best-Man’ly?”
“Huh?” Tatsuya arched her eyebrows. Confused.
Just as she was about to ask her husband, Jin walked inside the room; wearing a white tee with ripped jeans instead of his best man suit.
OK. Now she understood what Ryo was trying to say.
“Where’s Kazu?” Jin asked while panting hard as if he had just ran from his house to get here. Or maybe he really did.
Tatsuya and Ryo looked at each other. They could’ve just drag Jin from the room and prevent him from ruining the wedding. But that wouldn’t be so fun…
“There.” They pointed at the door, almost in perfect unison.

Kame was too preoccupied with her makeup; her eyes completely shut when she heard a loud sound; like someone had open the door abruptly.
“Tat-chann…I’m not finished yet…” She pouted, eyes still closed.
Her make up artist immediately froze upon looking at the man with furious glare. He gulped and took a few steps back.
“Eh..? Why are you stopping, Hiroshi-san?” She was referring to the makeup artist while slowly opening her eyes…revealing messy Jin in front of her.
“Hi.”
“WHAT THE-“
Too late. Jin was way faster; he grabbed Kame at her waist and carried her on his shoulder.
“JIN!!! Let me down!!!” She shrieked, kicked, and protested; but Jin stayed calm. He even winked at the surprised Ryoda couple at the front door.
“Tell Tomo I said hi.” He muttered at Ryo who mischievously nodded in return.
Kame caught at glimpse of Tatsuya and her husband from Jin’s broad back.
“Tat-chan!!! Call the security!!! I’ve been kidnapped!!!!” Kame’s voice was getting farther, and soon they couldn’t hear her anymore.
Ryo looked at his wife who just shrugged and beamed at him.

It was supposed to be the happiest day of her life; with flower bouquet in her hands and sheer veil covering her blushed face….but instead, her makeup was ruined, there were mascara stains all over her eyes and cheeks, her hair was messy….argh!!!
Kame looked angrily at the man in the driver’s seat. The car that Jin borrowed or stole or whatever....had finally stopped after 2 hours of driving. They were in the middle of nowhere, which means Kame couldn’t shout at anyone for help.
“Have you lost your freakin’ mind??!!” She yelled at Jin, who was still holding tightly onto the steering wheel.
He took a deep breath while facing his beloved.
“I should be the one who said those lines...what were you thinking, Kazu?! Marrying a guy you don’t even love? This is not a game!!”
She pouted angrily, rolling her eyes upon hearing his words.
“At least he doesn’t make me cry.”
Silent.
“Does he make you laugh the way that I do?”
Kame looked away, trying her best to hide the threatening tears that started to form on the corner of her eyes.
“Please, just send me back..Jin..”
Jin softly grabbed Kame by the shoulder so that they could face each other. He caressed her stained cheek lovingly.
“I will. You just have to tell me that you don’t love me anymore; so that I could entirely forget about you..about us…”
Deep down inside, Kame knew that she could never say those words aloud. Because they weren’t exactly true. She loves Jin as much as she hates him.
“Never mind…I’ll just walk then…”
Slamming the car door, she quickly walked along the unknown road in her big, puffy wedding dress.
Jin managed to catch her after that, but of course Kame tried to escape.
“Let me go!!”
“Kazu, stop it!!”
“I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!”
They both struggled, until Jin decided to shut Kame up by hugging her. He then kissed the back of her head lovingly.
“I love you.”
Kame kept quiet the whole time; she just cried silently on Jin’s shoulder. How stupid could she be by trying to get even with him? She might’ve ruined her entire life because of her reckless decision.
“I’m sorry.”
She finally had the courage to say that.
Jin could only shake his head, a relieved smile formed on his lips.
Kame suddenly chuckled.
“No matter how far I run away…my heart will keep coming back to you, Jin...I’m such an idiot, huh?”
“That makes two of us, Kazu.”

“JIN DID WHAT??!!”
Yamashita Tomohisa couldn’t believe on what he just heard. His eyes were as big as the saucers, red with anger. His best friend and best man had just kidnapped his bride-to-be.
That fat bastard.
“...But wait..why would he kidnap my Kame in the first place?” He asked Ryo, who elbowed his wife to answer the question.
Tatsuya was about to open her mouth when a voice interrupted from behind.
“We sort of had a relationship before this…but then Jin kissed a girl and I got mad…”
Yamapi was trying to concentrate on what Kame was saying, but then he got distracted after seeing their intertwined hands.
“I’m sorry Pi…I love her too much to let her go…even to my best friend..”
“But you cheated on her!!”
Ryo suddenly cleared his throat. “About that.”
He disappeared behind the door for a while, coming back with a girl. Jin immediately gaped upon seeing her.
“Aren’t you…”
Tatsuya signaled the girl to stand in front of Jin and Kame. She bowed at the couple for quite a while, indicating that she’s really sorry.
“I truly apologize for what I’ve done to you. Actually…I was paid to kiss him.”
All three of them were obviously shock, especially Jin and Kame.
“By who?!” Jin asked.
“I have no idea. She just came to me and introduced herself as your ex-girlfriend. And that she wanted to destroy your love life..
Tatsuya then patted the girl’s shoulder.
“All right, honey. That’s all we need from you.” Throwing a devilish look at the girl, she then continued. “Don’t make me see your face again, ne?”
The girl immediately nodded and walk as fast as she could, stumbling a few times in the process of ‘escaping’.
The room was silent for a few minutes.
“I’m sorry for not believing in you, Jin…I should’ve known this from the start…” Kame regretted the way she left Jin, without giving him any chance to defend himself. Nevertheless, even if the girl didn’t show up, she had made up her mind. She’d made her choice.
Yamapi took a deep breath, eyes fixed to the newly-reunited couple. “Well in that case…I can’t say much. You two are obviously in love and I…..just…don’t have any luck…this time…” He shrugged, smiling bitterly.
Yamapi slowly walked towards the couple; looking at his supposed-to-be-bride and then patted Jin’s shoulder.
“You take good care of her, ok?”
He turned around; ready to walk out from the room when he suddenly stopped.
“Owh, and..Jin?”
“….Yes?”
A punch on Jin’s face sent him straight to the floor; his mouth bleeding. Kame shrieked while quickly kneeled over to help him.
“That’s my advanced wedding gift to you..” Yamapi winked at him; and Jin..he just
wiped the corner of his mouth, smiling.

It was finally the day of the real wedding. Kame was in her dream bridal gown. A bouquet of lavender in her hands. Her eyes were glinting with happiness. No one could take this moment from her, she thought.
Surrounded by friends and family, she anxiously walked along the path; receiving smiles and blessings along the way. She even managed to give a wink at Tatsuya and Ryo, with their newly born baby. And of course, Yamapi was there too; beaming and nodding at her.
Looking straight ahead, she saw the person that she cares the most in the entire world; beaming at her with those loving eyes of him. The man whom her heart belongs to.
The best man for her.
