Johnny's group NEWS appears to be back in full force. "Hoshi wo Mezashite," their first single since they resumed activity, has taken the #1 spot on the Oricon singles chart this week.
"Hoshi wo Mezashite" sold approximately 244,000 copies this past week, becoming their first single since their debut "Kibou ~Yell~" to sell more than 200,000 copies in its first week. It has already exceeded the total sales of their previous release, "Sayaendo / Hadashi no Cinderella Boy."

Yamapi goes to France for new CM

NEWS' Tomohisa Yamashita recently went to France to film a new commercial for the milk vanilla ice cream product MOW. He plays a reporter asking people for their opinions after sampling the dessert. According to the report, Yamashita spent his 15-hour flight memorizing his lines in French.
The commercial begins airing on April 6.

Koyama graduates from Meiji University

Keiichiro Koyama of NEWS graduated from Meiji University's Department of History and Geography on Monday. The ceremony was held at the Nippon Budokan.
-Congrats to Koyama-san!!!! He proves to us that stars can be both talented and smart!! Now i have a reason to study harder hehehe...

Keiichiro Koyama of popular Johnny's group NEWS will star in his first musical this June. The production is based on the hit Disney television movie, "High School Musical." In January, Koyama attended a performance of the musical in Atlanta, Georgia, along with pop star Nami Tamaki, who will co-star with him. After seeing it, he stated that he wanted to make it popular in Japan too. The musical will open on June 12 at the Aoyama Theatre in Tokyo.
- I WANNA SEE THIS MUSICAL!!!!! Dammit why is it only in Japan? Nway gud luck to Mr. Keichiiro and NEWS!!!!!!!
