She's sitting in an overheated classroom, fanning herself.
"Hey, Kyon," she says, glaring at the boy in front of her. He pauses--maybe weighing the pros and cons of turning around--and sighs as he realizes that he'll have to turn around. With one arm draped over the back of his chair, he slowing turns to face her. He looks just as miserable, maybe more so, except he definitely isn't as vocal as she has been. "Fan me."
His lip twitches. Not in a good I'm-about-to-smile way, either. "Fan yourself!" he snaps, and is beginning the arduous task of turning around again.
"Hmph!" she huffs, watching him. "I hate this world!" she declares, thinking of the unbearable heat and sitting around in class and the fact that it's boring.
Kyon pauses. He looks like he's about to say something when suddenly the door is slid open with force, a bang resounding through the dead air the classroom. The entire class slowly turns to look at the intruder.
There, in the doorway, one hand still on the edge, is Asch. His red hair is just as it always was--long and sticking out on top. Haruhi feels her face slide into smiling, the heat forgotten.
After looking around the room he lets out an annoyed noise. "Wrong room," he says simply, closing the door again.
Hey, wait! Wrong room!? Who else would he be looking for in this world!? Angry, and annoyed, and hopeful, she gets up and goes to the door. Sliding it open with a bang, she steps through--
--and wakes up.
