Destruction reconstruction

My bike go boom, actually I think it was more of a "OH $#!T", burning rubber, scraping metal, then a bendy bush. Said bush assited in the realease of the bike's stored potential energy.

Ah silly me. My friend Jake had ridden up to Santa Cruz with Dusty so that we could go out ridin' with Adrian. Unfortunately, 15 some odd minutes into the ride, I was coming out of a turn and spied in my side view mirror a flash of white sliding into Santa Cruz's ever green foliage. That happened to be Jake and my bike.

Unfortunate for Jake he had navigated a turn incorrectly and braked while he was leaned over and the bike just slid out as he low-sided. He managed to walk away unscathed with the exception of an exploded, right wrist. He managed to shatter it apparently. I've coversed with him via email and all seems to be going well! So that's good.

As for my bike, fortunately I have another donor GS500 that I'm sure will work nicely for transplant purposes. I've removed most of the front housing including the headlamp and instrument panel, break system, but I have a sneaking suspicion that I will also be in dire need of the clutch lever/cable assembly...

Perhaps in the next week or so I would like to resurrect it.

Ah well until then the EX500 will have to suffice.
