Debating being naughty financially and taking a vacation to the UK 6.29.12 to 7.9.12 .
This would mean I get to see Garbage live for the first time (My favorite living band - The Doors is my favorite all time) and I'd get to make my first foray out of the States and I'd get to experience London Pride. All of that is some serious Once in a lifetime bucket list stuff, which is why I'm so tempted to be bad.
Given London's "hot season" of 72 F is cooler than Bay Area "hot season", I won't have any problems weather wise. Although, I admit . . a muggy 72 is starting to seem too hot to me, lol.
The only thing even really making it bad, is the damn air fare. I'm a little bummed, because if it was just $500 cheaper, I'd have company on the trip. I'm also a little bummed, because I still have the I should not shoulder angel with a list of things I need.
Granted, I always thought my first European vacation would look a little more like Dublin, Whitby, Cardiff, London, Paris + Italy or Sweden and span 2-4 weeks . .
But I'm gonna be travelling on a budget, potentially just backpack. Tee/tank/jeans/boots punk is fine for concert, but in trainers or my Keen water sandals, cargos, T-shirt, Hoody am I going to be just some Chav or typical sloppy American to the Brits?
