Officially, Autumn has arrived in early in South Australia. Sure, there are going to be a few hot days still, but the majority of the weather is -and will be- in the twenties. Yay!! Now, if only we (and Victoria. Especially Victoria!! But Adelaide as well, please) could get rain... What we all (South Australia and Victoria) need is good, steady, soaking rain, over two or three days -or more!- to help the trees grow, the rivers gurgle again, and to help cleanse the ground.
I don't know about you all out there (except Claire. I know
lytab_au wishes the same as me), but I'm wishing for the good, steady, soaking rains to come. Won't you join me in wishing for that too? Comment if you do. :)
Our hearts and minds are still with the Victims of the Wildfires in Victoria. They still aren't out yet! The whole thing is devastating to most Australians, including me. I wish I could help in some way. However, I will be spending money at Coles (major grocery store) tomorrow, since they have announced that all the Profits from every store tomorrow will go to Victoria's Bushfire Victims. I know it's only a small amount of help, a drop in the ocean, but I also know every little bit helps. I don't have *much* money, but maybe this will help.
*Pssst!* If you want to donate to the cause (don't feel like you have to, tho'),
cleolinda has had some links to The Australian Red Cross up on her posts. If they're not there today, well, they appear in her earlier posts this week. As far as I'm concerned, The Australian Red Cross is the ONLY safe place to give money! It's definitely official (no spammers/fakers/trolls)!
