Fish meat...can melt. It creates a blackish gray sauce with a few clumps. And I don't think there's anyway to describe the smell. It was only vaguely "Fish" smelling, aside from that it might have been a combination of liquidated road kill and fresh cat shit.
Potato's do that too... add a spice of maggots to it and you have my experience finding TEN pounds of forgotten potato's (now a sauce?) in a drawer. It still makes me shutter and gag to think about.
