My grandmother passed away this week. I haven’t been very close to her since I was probably 11 or 12 years old. She had Alzheimer’s pretty badly. I guess I have a wierd philosophy on death, but it helped me get over the death of my grandparents. I think if they die at an old age, and they lived a forfilling life then you can't be sad for them, because everyone dies one day. You can miss them and be sad about that but be grateful that you got to spend some time with them at the end. Because I really regret not seeing my grandfather for about 10 years and not being able to say good-bye or knowing that that was the last time I'd see him. My grandpa had alzheimers too.

I'm sorry for your loss, I know it can be hard, especially if you were close.

I'm so sorry about your grandma Chris. Even though they get old, and start to fail, I still don't think you can ever be prepared for that moment when they actually do pass.

If you need any pointers on what you write, send it to me. I'll take a red pen to it if you like. Good luck with that.

I'll be in Kitsap tonight. Call me if you like.
