So I haven't received a call yet (ADT), but John went in for his typing test today, and was told that they are calling everybody within the next couple of weeks. I guess there were quite a few applicants, but I still feel rather confident that I have this job.
I went and visited Megan in Foxridge on Friday, so that I could help with moving stuff Saturday morning and afternoon. That happened pretty smoothly, but we hardly made a dent. Considering the fact that we filled 3 vehicles with stuff, this is a little bit disconcerting. I don't think there's going to be enough room for everything. Oh, well... I was once a terrible packrat, myself. Now, I'm just a packrat! =P
After that, Megan and I hung out, waiting for John. We went to Rocky, which was a good show, but not so good in other respects. Danny was accused of something really shitty, there was an altercation in front of audience members, and things aren't looking too good for everyone involved. Drama, drama, drama...
What can we expect when so many actors and strong-willed people are put together, though?
Breakfast was good, got to hang out with JP, which is always pleasant. Took Megan home so that we could do the whole "Father's Day" stuff with our respective families the next day. I get home, and find out that my ex has divorce papers ready for me to sign! Halleluja! About friggin' time! I have been waiting for this for quite some time, and now that it's happening, I-I'm just...so...damn...HAPPY! =)
This will probably happen Wednesday morning, but we need to figure out where a good place to meet would be. Honestly, I don't really care, as long as it gets done! Yaaaayyyy!!!
I wasn't prepared for what happened next, but I am ever so thankful! JP (such a wonderful friend, and one of the kindest people I've ever met) offered to provide transportation so that I can sign on that dotted line! We're talkin' time off from work, and everything! Though I truly wish there were some other way, the offer is just too tempting and convenient to turn down. Damn! I wish I still had a vehicle! Grrr!!!
I'll call him this evening and let him know what it looks like. Aside from the Rocky drama, another good week...and again, looks like things are truly looking up for me. Not ready to buy any stock in it, yet, but limited-maturity bonds are looking great right now...
