here's my election notes everybody.

114,516,847 people voted in the election.

as of today, 294,672,635 people live in the US.
we'll figure ages 1-70 equal number of people (note: this isn't right, but close enough for my entertainment)
so that's 4,209,609 people per each age. figure 18-70 can vote, gives
218,899,668 people who could theoretically vote. that is, i've put basically 1/3 of people in the USA as under 18, which i guestimate to be at least reasonable
(or to appease the fact that youngsters under 17 might have more people, lets drop the 8,899,668) and give us 210,000,000 who could vote.
or heck, even 200,000,000.

bush got 59,056,036 votes, or (figuring 200,000,000 possible voters) - 29.5% of the entire voting-possible country's vote/voice.
kerry got 55,464,322 votes, or 27.7 percent of the vote/voice.

or that 57.2 percent of possible voters, voted.
