It's Captain John! Fresh from the Canary Islands! Alina's been dropped off at her mother's, but Oodles, Puff and Cuddles are with him as well as a bag with mysterious contents - Kai's belated birthday present!

Somehow with his arms full, Puff can be lazy when it comes to walking, John manages to press the call-button.

"Helloooo, it's me!"

Kairos has been busy at work - dear gods, she loves her employees. They know what they're doing, so there wasn't too much to catch up on but getting new inventory done. She's fresh from a shower when she hears the dulcet tones of John.

She presses the button for him to come on up, and runs to get dressed.

I know! Sorry, been really busy.

The party makes their way up the stairs and arrives at Kai's front door.

"Hellooo," he enters, Puff decides now's the time to walk on his own paws. If Regina's around she can expect to be sniffed.

"Hey, John," Kairos says, walking out of her bedroom. It should be a big huge shock to see 19-year old Kairos now, instead of nearly thirty-year-old Kairos. Something Is, Obviously, Up.

Regina sniffs right back, curious as a cupcake.

John is surprised!

"Kai! You're back to teenage again! What happened? Did you find the Fountain of Youth?"

Because if so, he'd like to know...because maybe those aren't laugh lines.

"Somethin' like that." It's just a glamour. Inside she's still 29. "I pestered someone till they helped me. And it can be turned off," she says, flashing from one 'look' to another.

John blinks in surprise.

"Impressive, love!"

He heads on in and holds out the bag. "You're belated birthday gift!"

Inside is jewellery case with this lovely necklace!

"Aww, John you didn't have--" She breaks off with a little 'oh!' of surprise. John Hart actually picked out something pretty! "It's gorgeous, hon! Thank you so much!"

John would be most insulted if he knew that Kai didn't think he could buy nice things! just ask Cassie!

"You're welcome! I got it from this lovely lady with her own stall...one of a kind pieces!" He frowns. "I didn't get anything for Kal though...not sure she's forgiven me for the whole Bakery thing..."

"It's been ten yea--" she breaks off, stops, and rolls her eyes. "I mean, it's been a little while. I'm sure she has. You could ask her."

John laughs and throws an arm around Kai's shoulders. "I know how that is! One time I ran into another agent on a mission and quickly realised we weren't in the same timeline...Think I managed to fool 'im."

He scratches his head. "That'd make sense of some of the stuff he said to me before all that."

Puff trots back over and looks up with his tongue lolling out.

"That's his understated way of saying he's hungry." John rolls his eyes.

"What kinda stuff?" she asks as she pulls them both into the kitchen. "Regina doesn't share her dog food well, but I've got a bag of some stuff she won't touch. Does Puff eat regular dog food?"

"Puff'll eat whatever," John gives a laugh. "Kinda like me!"

That's kind of John's way of mentioning he's hungry!
