Back in the Saddle Again
So it's back to school for me and back to having a job.
Psychology of Learning is cool. I actually have homework in that class like I'm in highschool or something, but I like Dr. Haggbloom. He looks just like Dennis Hopper, but he seems nice and class isn't as boring as I'd thought it would be.
Deviant Behavior is really cool. Dr. Pruitt is totally hot but I think he may bat for the other team. At least that's what I've heard. I like his stories. He really connects to the students by putting some of his personal life out there through his stories too. The class is interesting. I never thought I could sit through a class and not look at my watch the whole time.
Psychology of Law is interesting as well. There's a lot of guest speakers and a few field trips and it's the subject I've been waiting for all my life--Forensic Pyschology--it's exactly what I want to do with myself when I finally get out of school(a million years from now). Dr. Pope is a no nonsense type lady. She doesn't take shit from anyone, or excuses...but she's also very nice and teaches well.
Penology is interesting so far. It's required for a criminology minor but I like it. I get to go to the state prison in Eddieville and The reformatory in LaGrange where they house "all the loons and whack-jobs" according to Dr. Bohlander. I like hime a lot. I had him for Sociology of Criminal Law. We've got the same sense of humor. He's just rad.
My job is at the courthouse. I start on Monday. I'll be working Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I had to take and oath of confidentiality...so don't expect any juicy details about juvenile and family court. I know you will all be begging for them anyway. I actually get to sit on the bench too. Like up with the judge and everything. Crazy. I'm gonna be on the bench during a trial. Wow. I can't f'n wait to start work. I really really can't. Whee! Plus, I will never work nights. I will never work weekends. I believe I may have the ultimate set up.
But now I'm looking forward to the rest of the weekend. I think Josh and I might go see Munich tonight. I'm going to cook marinated salmon for dinner and just fucking enjoy my weekend. Yessireebob.
