All right Chicago sports fans, what's been the worst move in our recent history? Pick worst overall, or worst for each franchise ( Read more... )

I didn't know you were this into sports. Here's my 2 cents...

Bulls:
Brad Miller and Ron Artest for Jalen Rose (and change)
I mean, we traded away 2 pro bowlers (1 to-be defensive player of the year) for a guy who didn't play defense and hogged the ball too often. Plus, it would have been interesting to watch Skiles coach Artest :)

White Sox:
Well...don't really care too much (me being the loyal Cubs fan), but if you have to know then it would have to be
Josh Fogg, Kip Wells and Sean Lowe for Todd Ritchie.
I mean, none of the guys we gave away were great, but Todd Ritchie was just plain bad. All 3 were monster prospects, and we should have gotten a lot more for them. But I guess Ken Williams' cavalier attitute to trading is forgiven after the current season

Cubs:
Hands down Latroy as the closer. Although I loved Steve Stone, it didn't affect things on the diamond too much. And I still think Nomar can be good if healthy, and that Cabrera was never that good to begin with (proven by his season this year)

Bears:
Can I really only pick one? They are all bad, but it has be McNown (don't care who it was over). The guy just turned out to be a bust. Enis was an ass sometimes, but at least the guy played his heart out on the field. And he might have been ok if not for the injury (I remember he had 76 yards in 18 carries in the game he got injured...and he was rolling over people like expected). McNown was just a prick who was never any good to begin with. He got all kinds of chances...but was never any good.

Anyways...good to know you're back at Georgetown. Next time I come down to DC for work...I'll make sure we get together

Yeah, I've slowly become a sports fiend. Except for hockey, because that's Canadian. And as for you being a Cubs fan, all I can say is we got to the World Series first, and you guys are still blaming Steve Bartman.

Definitely drop me a line when you'll be back in DC. You live in Texas now, right? I know I definitely won't be down there anytime soon :)
