as per routine, i checked my e-mail this morning and there were a couple from my p-chem professor, Dr. Jameson. the last week of school, she had forced me to fill out a couple of applications for some scholarships from the chemistry department. it was called the Paaren scholarship or something and there were two different parts to it. today she e-mailed me saying that i won both the scholarships. one's just a general scholarship and the other one's for my summer research. and on the official letter i saw that Jameson is the head of the awards committee, which means she picked me out to get the scholarships before anyone else even applied; that made me feel very special.
and i also got the new system of a down CD. it's only 36 minutes long, but it's pretty good. my favorite is "this cocaine makes me feel like i'm on this song."
