This was exactly the post-DH's story I always wanted but didn't know it! Like shari says, it didn't even feel that long, I read it so quickly.
I just love everything. The natural way their relationship develops, the way you describe the school post-battle (I just adore that opening scene btw. So atmospheric with the broken stairs and the crunch of crushed crystal ball under his feet), the way you deal with Ginny and Hermione, how you bring in Lupin, Tonks, Dumbledore, Fred and Snape. It was lovely to see so many well loved characters again.
Especially Hedwig! That bit actually brought tears to my eyes!
Your characterisation is just perfect too. I love your Snape. So canon! As are all your characters of course, but he was brilliant. I like how you show the characters bad sides as well. Not everyone is perfect, they have flaws and that just adds to the story.
You based this on such a brilliant film and yet made the story your own and your style, descriptions, and characterisation, all makes it seemed like it could so easily fit into canon.
To sum up: I LOVE THIS! &hearts
