Author's Note: The inspiration for this story was a short fic titled “Three Years” and was posted in 2004 before anyone knew I even wrote Harry/Ron, maybe even before I knew I shipped Harry/Ron. My good friend thetreacletart suggested I write a fuller story around that one fic. Elements from that fic were incorporated into this one, but the story went in an entirely different direction, so consider this a wholly new one.
