Ray Rice!
So Ray Rice was drafted into the NFL today by the Baltimore Ravens in the 2nd round. I feel like all NRHS alumni have this connection to him...even though we really don't. I mean I, along with so many other people, saw him play in his sophomore, junior and senior years of high school thanks to marching band. He and I also had 2 coaches in common which is pretty cool...and I once talked to him because he bumped into me in the hallway. I don't know. I guess I feel that this is really exciting, but at the same time I'm nervous. Here is this kid who is only one year older than me, who I remember from high school, and he has his life planned out for him. He is gonna make millions and what am I going to do? I have no clue. Anyway, I really am happy for him and I wonder if his mother will be at all of his professional football games, just like she was at all of his high school games.
