"The lady is *walking* faster than us... It's depressing"
First drive in the car today. Hilarious.
We went to Highpoint today because I need clothes and a dress for the formal. Cut a long story short I tried on about 50 pairs of pants ended up buying two, one cargo and the other pair are the only jeans OUT OF ALL OF THEM that fitted me well to some degree. *sigh*
Anyway, got to the carpark and there were hardly any cars there so mother-dear decided that I should go for a spin. First off, I forgot that the car keeps moving forward even if you don't have your foot on the accelerator. Mum is just laughing her arse off at me because I'm freaking out. It didn't help that there was one of those trolley bay things right in front of us so if I put my foot on the peddle accidently we would have gone crashing into it *facepalm*
Like all good first time drivers, I kept slamming my foot on the brakes so we both lurched forward about a hundred times. And I kept swearving onto the right side of the road so we're zigzaging up and down the lanes and everytime I saw another car I'd slam on the brakes again. EVEN THE TROLLEY MAN WAS LAUGHING AT ME!... After I nearly ran him over *cough* He kept coming back for more! That was of course after I almost swerved into a parked car.
I was actually using the accelerator by the end of it though! And after all that mum realised that she had left the hand brake on.
