I'm so sorry to post this here, but I'm desperate for some answers. Under the cut are some MAJOR spoilers for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. An LJ user (cantstoptharock) put 10 of these spoilers on the community harrypotterkids, of which I am a member, completely UN-CUT. I read them, unknowing, and now, the new Harry Potter book may or may not be totally ruined, ( Read more... )

. . . does it really matter? We'll find out in one day.

And it sounds like a load of arse, to put it delicately.

I agree with you, it probably isn't hard to fake a book.... Though I could be wrong.

Anyway, somebody should REALLY get the attention of some higher athorities here.

Besides, just because they have the book doesn't mean that they're telling the truth. Could be shit-stirring (sorry, but it seems the only appropriate term) for their own personal gain.

And it really doesn't matter if some people "know" before us-it's a DAY, we're mature individuals, we can wait. I'd rather find out for myself.

(although I'm a sucker for spoilers, even if they are complete arse x.x)

Very true, I read all spoilers, though it is against my better judgement.

The Harry Potter books are huge, so if you give some supposed information from the before the new one is released, your gonna get a lot of attention. It is a bad way to get attention, but still a way.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

Also, do we know how long they have had the book? It's very easy that they have just gone through random parts, and picked up on things that aren't necessarily there.

The only thing I noticed about the book that I was suprised about was the narration style. JK uses Anonymous Narration: Single Character in which the story is told anonymously, but is able to get inside Harry's head and Harry's head only. Nothing can be explained in the book, really, without Harry's knowledge. Unless Jo changed the writing style for this book, which I highly doubt.

Ok, I showed this page to my cousin, including the links to that photobucket account. She is a grammatical fanatic, so when she read over the page, she says she found a ton of grammer and spelling mistakes. She also says that on the book, it has a price in pounds, and it is written differently than prices are written in the UK. I trust her, she was pretty sure about this, so lets hope she's right!

JKR is smart, and she has editors, so spelling and grammer mistakes are very very rare. So, here is another reason to have faith!

if you know your way around Photoshop it'd be pretty simple and even if it is real and they got is somehow, what they have done w/ posting that stuff is completely illegal and if it is the book and JKR her wanted, she could press charges or sue for rights.
