Sunday, I went to ColdStone with Melissa and James for some dessert after seeing Shrek 3 (which wasn't as good as Shrek 1 and 2, in my opinion). I had one of those moments....
The guy making my ice cream at ColdStone asks me "Excuse me sir, are you a father?"
My jaw dropped. I mean, of the three of us, I'm the youngest, James has triple the amount of facial hair compared to me, and, well, wow. They were running a special on Fathers Day, free ice cream to all fathers. I said no, followed by some unrecognizable blubbery blathering coming from my mouth still in awe that I got asked if I'm a father.
They gave me the free ice cream after I told them I was a teacher and sometimes I feel like I'm father to 180 of my students.
I'm not one to comment on th ending of school, as everyone else is. I'm happy and excited. Only 3 days of hall duties during Regents exams left. Classes ended last Tuesday. It's nice not having to plan a camp during this (and last week) for the first time in 5 years. I'm pretty busy hosting he dance studios at my school for another week after school's over.
My kitty is the best, most loving kitty in the world.
And I just put up my air conditioner again. It feels nice to be cool.
See y'all later!
Regular Israel updates will be coming soon...
