As seen on MANY other LJs in the past few days:
1) I freak out at the sight of blood... those TLC surgeries on TV... yeah... I get VERY squemish... to the point of nausea and vomitting. I originally wanted to go to college to become a doctor when I was in high school. Then... reality hit and music took my interest...
2) I am literally sick of hot dogs, except for Nathan's at a restaurant. I used to love them, now I can't even look at them. There's apparently some psychological thing going on there left over from my parents' divorce that I'm investigating with my therapist...and hot dogs are a part of it. Don't serve hot dogs if I'm coming over for dinner!
3) My current cat is my first real pet that is not a fish in my life. I never had a a dog, cat, hamster, etc. I had a rabbit for about 2 months that my dad sold on me while I was at a Cross Country meet in high school, so we never had a real connection. I got my cat when I was an RD in Potsdam and found out that my lease would permit "one cat." I really always wanted a dog, but I wanted a pet so badly, I didn't care! So, I got Sherlock... I was never a cat person,... but now I LOVE CATS! (At least cats like my Sherlock!) He's truly a loyal and loving buddy.
4) I need to sleep with two pillows. One is not enough and I can't sleep... even if I need to double one over. I also need to sleep with my feet hanging out from under the covers... my feet need to be colder than the rest of my body in order to fall and stay asleep.
5) Similar to Sherri, I'm one of few public school teachers who does NOT drink coffee and never has. Five years of two college degrees never got me any coffee, either. When other teachers offer you coffee and you say "no," they actually take offense to it...
6) Like Sue, I NEVER stay awake in a car-ride longer than 20-30 minutes unless I'm driving. My body shuts down, then my brain, then I'm out-cold.
