Impressions Left:

Has anyone ever read a fic that just unsettled them? That left an impression on you? That trickled back into your thoughts while you were spacing out?

I read Oscillate Wildly a little awhile back and it keeps nagging me that the story isn't complete, even though it is.

Cut for story spoilers )

I felt the same way about that fic. It fucked me up for days afterwards.

The ending is just - not right. A story is a story and we all want it finished, right? And that felt so unfinished and guh- I couldn't stand it.

I know! it's been well over two weeks and I'll be reading a fic and space out thinking back to it.

I just started reading this fic. So far, it feels a lot like a certain episode of Buffy in which Buffy wakes up in a psychiatric ward, and it turns out that she's been in a coma for five years and her whole life as a slayer was nothing but one long delusional dream.

That story always tears me apart - I totally understand! I was almost crying by the end. I think it's probably my favorite h/d fic of all time.

I read In The Closet by Michi Chu recently and it totally threw me off for days. It's completely brilliant but if you read it, expect nightmares. :/

Ohmy this was wonderfully creepy!! =D

Strangely I wasn't as disturbed as I should have been but very fascinated. It was a little strange in reading due to POV changes but was really good.

Thanks so much for the Rec!
