I was going to post about the staff versus student quidditch game, but I have just read Madame Pince's post about setting up the war room, and it sent a chill down my spine.
The past few weeks, there's been an increase in the number of Death Eater attacks, culminating with the horrific events in Bristol on 5th November.
Outside, there is nowhere safe. People live in fear of the next attack.
Professor McGonagall has finally restricted the amount of items that can be brought in. As far as I can gather, given the last lot of ministry regulations, plus the added knowledge that the wand registry is tracking everybody, it is virtually impossible to obtain any of the restricted supplies anyhow.
It was only a matter of time.
We are at war now.
No, actually, we have been at war ever since Hogwarts fell, but now there is a feeling of building apprehension.
The day is coming when we may all have to fight.
Some of us may not make it through.
Locked to the Safehouses and Allies.
There's quite a sea of poppies over at the cliffs at the Gryffindor Safe house, a tribute to those who over the years have given their lives for freedom, not just in this current war, but also in previous wars against powerful Dark Wizards.
Voldemort cannot win.
I swear to you all that I will not allow it to happen. Whether there is any truth in the prophecy or not, I will fight to my last breath to ensure that freedom prevails.
Those dear to us that we have already lost. They will not have died in vain.
