*Claps madly*

Yay! More Harry and her Pirate! Lovely chapter, GM - particularly the Owens and Suzanna part, which was adorable. :) Now, I hope the next chapter is a little quicker coming.

Now, I hope the next chapter is a little quicker coming.

Lord, me too!

This was sort of a transitional chapter, and I wasn't at all sure how I wanted to present the various elements. And then it ended up over 5,000 words! Ugh.

Glad you enjoyed the little O/S romance. ;)

Oh, marvelous! Was afraid you'd been going on with this and I'd somehow managed to miss it, and now here is a lovely *big* chapter full (as usual) of delights: babies, feisty Harry, sword tricks, young love, a co-conspirator for Tom-the-imp ... (sighs with contentment) More soon? Pretty please?

Jack had better watch out - Tom's going to give him gray hairs (at the very least)!

Ha! No, it just took me forever to write this chapter! Hopefully I'll be a little faster with the next one. I'm working on it, and actually want to have it posted by the end of the week as I'm doing a separate but related Valentine's Day fic, to introduce a new character from Jack's past.

So very happy you enjoyed this! Thanks so much for letting me know. ;)

Jack felt it would have been the outside of enough if the “whelps” had “set up a howl” on top of this. As they refrained, he was inclined to look on them with a fond eye, mentally storing away the picture they made (complaisant and dough-faced, and dressed in long, hideously frilly white gowns and caps) which would be excellent fodder for teasing the two in future years.
Funny how Jack and James have children who are chips off the old blocks. Great Jackish description of the babies. Sounds like the twins have some serious Jack-trauma to look forward to. Ha!

treacly great word

Nice to see Jack and Will sword fighting again.

seems a dangerous game Ah dear Governor, that's the Sparrow's favorite kind.

resigned to a Tragic Outcome
Young love--all in capitals and superlatives. Jack's gonna be needing some rum.

you seem to inspire ill-judged behavior by your very presenceNo, no, no James. The word you want is natural behaviour as opposed to artificial. I like how Jack takes different things seriously than the rest of society here ( ... )

Sounds like the twins have some serious Jack-trauma to look forward to. -- Jack wouldn't so much traumatize them as lead them astray, if possible, to annoy Norrington. ;)

Tom and Anne wasn't in the orignal outline, either. Just sort of happened, and then they were so cute together I couldn't stop.

Oh my word, I'm LMAO! Tom and Anne are just too adorable - but if Tom thinks he got thrashed before, just wait 'til his da finds the stowaway! He might get tied to the mast. :-p

Suzanna and Michael are very sweet, too... it's neat to see the children grow up, though I get a little lost about how much time has passed with each chapter (though it seems to be settling now). But I'm missing Will and Elizabeth, I see them very little, and a question I keep having is: Where are *their* children? I'd think they'd surely have some, or if not that we could get a little explanation. :-)

Glad you like Tom, and Anne! I find children really amusing to write, as you probably gathered. Tom was originally supposed to be a minor character, and he ended up playing a major part in this story. I wanted to explore Jack's reaction to being a parent, a role that requires some adjustment for most people, and would be a real challenge for him, I think.

Probably I should have marked the first chapter as a prologue, and then mentioned that the rest begins several years after that. Might be an easy change, actually. I'll have to think about doing it. I too noticed the transition isn't as smooth as it should be when I reread the opening chapters a while back.

Will and Elizabeth were originally supposed to have a bigger part in this, but they ended up only appear in the beginning and at the end. There is information about their childless state, but not until the final chapters.
