I love mail packages!

I just got my first two official Quinrose anthologies in the mail yesterday. The two that I got are called 'Live and let live', and 'Expectation is better than realization'. In my little note book, they were the top two anthologies on my list. They were both really good, and one of my favorite Quinrose artists did a story in each of them. If you ( Read more... )

Ah whee~ Mail is always fun when you get presents. I've seen the anthologies on Quinrose's site before. Nice as the doujinshi are, the idea of multi-character books does sound appealing. I'm guessing they were worth the purchase if you're pleased with them then?

You got the new Nightmare/Joker no Kuni book as well? Lucky dog. Mine's been stuck in shipping limbo. Yobu does set them up like singular books, but eee~ I'm all curious now to see what happens.

Would you say that the Elliot one worked well with the cuteness? Or did it tweak with his character too much?

Yes! The anthologies were worth the money. I can't speak for all of them, but the one's I got were very good. They are the same size and thickness as the Clover doujins. A couple stories from them had been used for short stories at the end of some of the official doujinshi though. I didn't like how Quinrose just recycled them. But the stories that got reused were such a small portion of the books that it didn't make me regret anything. There were still a ton of other stories that I've never seen before. Plus I got to see more Nightmare stories with lovely art! For me, that makes these books quite valuable. It's hard to find doujinshi with him, or even official works. I'll probably buy a couple more anthologies whenever I get the chance ( ... )

Considering that I only have the Nightmare and Bloody Twins books a wee bit of recycling doesn't sound too bad. Gotta take your fandom where you can find it in these tiny series. Where did you get the anthologies off of? YesAsia? Quinrose's site? (Not that I have money to buy anything at the moment... but just for future reference ( ... )

Very true. I'm still longing for the cell phone straps, note paper, figurines(of any kind), and goodness knows what else to come from Quinrose. I love their doujinshi and anthologies, and drama CDs, but I'm greedy and I want more. I got the anthologies through Yamato-Touch. It was a special request, but they added it to their stock after I requested it. So if you are interested they've got those two books up for sale on their site hereAh yes, the colored circus intro was wonderful. I started geeking out when I saw Joker in color at the circus. Admittedly I've grown more accustomed to Yobu/Job's(not sure about the correct romanization) style too. Her writing always seems to require a dictionary. Fujimaru is much easier to understand for me. I don't mind looking words up though. Eventually I will learn them ^-^. Lol, the inside cover panels were priceless. The ideas are so random and fun. For some reason I could completely see Black being the responsible one who takes care of the both of them. Of course the game gives me that sort of ( ... )

Yeah, exactly, the little bits of swag that larger fandoms take for granted. All of the above would be so nice... Harukanaru Toki no Naka de got awesome figurines after they got a series/ova, so part of it probably is the difference between the staying power of games vs 'anime'... Which, of course, puts us back to square one with Quinrose dragging its heels... =.=0

(In the meanwhile... Have to count my chickens and figure out if I can't get one of the anthologies. XD)

Lol... Oh, the imagery~ White is a useless lump, isn't he? He has that silver tongue, but that's about it. *snicker* I suddenly feel bad for Black.

I agree, they definitely need something to fill the void of the lack of a real Joker route. I mean, come on, you can't make a character that awesome and not feed the fandom something. I'm sorta surprised as well over the lack of Joker no Kuni books. What gives? You finally have everyone together. Plus the seasons as a plot device? Surely that makes easy fodder for doujinshi? (... And, ditto, Gowland needs more love in ( ... )
