Date Hating...
Is it possible to actually hate a date of the month? Because I actually think I do. I never thought such a thing was possible but that was until last night...
I finished my article on plastic bags under much duress. The most vocal people I discovered during my research were 'Planet Ark' and so I emailed asking if they could suggest someone to interview. Self absord, veggie environmentalist replied saying that she had had 5 wannabe cadets ask already and she wouldn't do anymore interviews. Now, I'm not sure if her brain has been damaged by lack of meat but I didn't ask her. Therefore I am putting the word out that we should increase pollution just to spite those nasty, egotistical hippies.
So, I got the article done taking a fews liberties. Then I turned my attention to the easy bit of the application. You take three things articles/letters/adverts and say how you'd make them into articles. What I'd overlooked was that they were to be taken from the issue dated 14/8/04.
I had a breakdown and decided I'd have to seek the assistance of the local library. They told me they didn't archive newspapers but the Smithfield library did. I had another breakdown and then went to Smitfield. They said they didn't but Elizabeth (where I'd come from) might. I had another breakdown. Eventually, with a little help from my father, I got newstext on the net and finally found what I was looking for. I celebrated with ice cream.
I should also say that I'm quite miserable at the prospect of the Olympics is almost at an end. What am I going to obsess over now? I'm open to suggestions :)
