what an awesome weekend!!
ok so that was like the most awesome weekend in awhile.
it all started early on friday when i went to work at 830 to start getting ready for harry potter night. throughout the day i made like 15 gallons of iced tea and 25 gallons of frap mix ( krista wanted like 120 gallons). so it was crazy. i even stayed an extra half hour to help out. but anyways, i got out at 530 and came home and took a quick shower becasue emily got here around 630! we stopped by b&n again on our way to the mann center in philly to hear the lord of the rings symphony. just met some coworkers at b&n and then went fun backways to avoid traffic on 76, but still arrived perfectly on time. it had been raining all day but it stopped in time for the show and ended up being a really nice night out on the lawn. so we just sat back and listened to the awesomeness that is the lord of the rings music. the music went like, through the movies in order, and it was beautiful. my favorite parts were when this woman sang gollum's song and into the west, like, really well. and throughout the whole show i was just impressed at how well the music like, conveyed the moods and action of the movies. ah, what fun.
after that emily and i went straight back to b&n where the midnight magic party was in full swing. the cafe line was to the door and the place was just packed with people. i was soooo happy not to be working. lol. so we explored for a bit, found the hilarious 'book of bunny suicides' lol....and then bryan called and i told him to come over just for the hell of it, lol. so thats started like a barrage of seeing people i knew. i think i saw skyler before bryan got there, and she was liek shocked i had a girlfriend. lol. then after bryan came we found katie, anna, courtney, and shilpa upstairs, and while we were talking to them brian solis stopped by and said hi. then i went down to chat some more with cafe people who could actually talk, lol...and genna and friends were there...but all i got were a couple looks from her friends. i really wouldnt mind like being able to say hi to each other in a public place. haha, oh well. hmm, i think that was the extent of people we saw, but it was so much fun and im glad i got to experience it from outside the cafe. emily and i finished the night with a family guy and me showing her flyers clips to celebrate the new cba! lol. ended up going to bed around 4, only to wake up at 8 to work all day again! woo. cough.
this was less fun, becasue we spent the whole day trying to work around all the food that we didnt sell last night. lol. waaay too much food was prepared. i knew there was a reason i couldnt wrap my head around selling 400 cookies and like 40-70 of other bakery case items and like 120 gallons of frap...its becasue we cant possibly sell all that in a night. lol. oh well. emily had a bridal shower to go to that afternoon, so i drove her there on my break at 11 and she came back just in time for the end of my shift at 5. we totally crashed half the evening after getting like 4 and 5 hours of sleep. then we went hot tubbing since my parents banned us on friday, citing unhealthy water. lol. jerks. only stayed up til 2 that night.
which brings us to today...i totally ditched work, but i requested off awhile ago and tried to fix it, but nothing worked, so i gave the openers ample notice and it seemed to go over okay, lets just hope they dont kill me tomorrow. but if they do it was so worth it...i went to the mall with emily and got dress shirts and ties for the school year. mm. its hot. we ended our awesome weekend by watching an oc and then i took her somewhere to meet her parents for dinner and then i had to leave her...but shes reading harry pitter now so she probably donesnt miss me too much. lol
my night was good as well. my dad and i watched an alias on dvd, and then bryan came up and we watched the new family guy at 9 and it was hilarious! these trix are mine! lol! ah, and i capped the night with the dead zone at 10 and taped the 4400 at 11. mmm. all were quite saisfying.
