-- Man, an acknowledgment I keep forgetting to make. When misenthropic was making holiday cards, I asked her to send me one to over here, so it'd be waiting for me when I came back from the holidays, and promptly forgot about it. Then I came back, and I was all blah because I'd been in airports all day with the Cold of Death and still had to finish those assignments. And Catherine and Elizabeth were already in the flat when I got back and we were all "hug tiem nau?" and they told me I had a letter in the post and I went "WTF, who'd send me a letter over here?"
It was the card, and it made my day. :D

-- SATIE! Can I have his zombie babies? I mean, even if he weren't my hero, think how adorable zombie babies would be! Their first word could be "Brrrrraaaaaains?" and everything! But, more specifically, an English translation of the introduction he wrote to "Sports et Divertissments": "This publication comprises two artistic elements: design and music. The design part is represented by lines -- lines of fancy; the musical part is represented by dots -- black dots. These two parts united -- in a single volume -- form a whole: an album. I advise [the reader] to leaf through this book with a tender and smiling finger, for this is a work of fantasy. May nothing more be read into it. For the shrivelled and stupid I have written a serious and respectable chorale. It is a kind of bitter preamble, a sort of austere and unfrivolous introduction. I have put into it all that I know about Boredom. I dedicate this chorale to those who do not like me. I withdraw."
-- Speaking of people whose babies I would like to have, I think I should probably make the belated confession that I have a hopeless crush on my harmony teacher. It's not my fault! He's all cute and bespectacled and refers to Bach's 2nd Brandenburg Concerto as "funky". ♥ I CANNOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE.
-- FAWM has started here and I don't think I'll be doing it this year either, which of course didn't stop me from reading through the local Dares thread. I think I might try to write a song this month, just as a tip of the hat. Also, because I think a song about ninjas is long overdue in this world. Other songs I'm planning to write at some point in life include, but are not limited to "Are You Going to Eat That?", "No Matter What Kind of Song I Try to Write, It Always Ends-Up a Twelve-Bar Blues" (in fact, I might expand that to a whole album, titled: "The Mean-Tempered Harp: 12-Bar Bluesi In All of the Major and Minor Keys Except for the Ones I Couldn't Be Bothered With Because They Involve Too Many Pedal Changes"), and a love song called "Whenever You're Around I Become a Gibbering Idiot (But I Promise I'm Not Always Like This!)". If anyone has suggestions for other topics they'd like to have a song written about, feel free to suggest away. Based on past experience, I probably won't actually write any songs, but I might think of a spiffy title for one.
-- I never cease to be amazed by how much funnier everything is at 2 A.M.
-- I keep being insomniac and would like to stop now plz. It's really making me appreciate how long it's been from the last time I was properly insomniac.
-- Tomorrow I'm going to listen to a concert given by the Ni Ensemble. My decision to go to that concert was based solely on the fact that it is called the Ni Ensemble. It's going to be epic. :D
-- Um um more stuff to say, but I think I should go back to bed and try sleeping again?
