SCA photos!
Here, have some photos of people with swords!
These are all pictures of dhole and Harold Schindel, a friend of aethereal_girl's and his who was visiting from the U.S. and was a guest at the SCA event. The only other pictures I took were of Tilla in her fairy costume (she had to leave and changed back from her garb to her Purim costume). And there are also a couple of fencing photos that were badly out of focus, so they're not here. My camera also has a video function, but sadly, the idea to use it occurred to me just before they stopped fencing; hence, no video.
They were doing rapier and dagger fencing, which is pretty much the coolest thing since Harpo Marx. (Rapier/dagger = OTP?) For those not familiar with the concept, basically what they do is hold rapiers in their right hands and daggers in their left hands... and try to kill each other with both. And it's very cool.
Also, see how it's all blurry in certain areas? That's because they were moving WAY FAST.
What I love about this one is that there's just a random neighbour woman standing there basically going "WTF?" (Fencing took place in the back yard of dhole and aethereal_girl's house, which is adjacent to other people's back yards, so random neighbour people walked by a lot.)
I flat out deny any correlation between the fact I like that photo and the fact that dhole looks ninja-like in it.
