Summary: Things really do bump in the night... and Sharpay just met one.

“You have got to be kidding,” groaned Sharpay as someone jumped in front of her with what looked like very good make-up work. She was running late and this was the second distraction tonight. Ryan was going to kill her. “Seriously, buddy, back off. My brother is going to kill me if I’m late and I have no time for you!”
“Well guess what, sweet heart--” The creature started but Sharpay glared at him angrily.
“Look whatever-you’re-trying-to-be, I don’t have time for you and I swear if you call me sweet heart, you’ll have my high heals in between your balls, got me?” Sharpay promised, and started to walk around him.
“YO! I’m trying to kill you here! The least you could do is scream and cower!” The guy shouted at her. Sharpay backed away from in surprise but was grabbed from behind. She let out a scream as the thing tightened its hold on her.
“Here, demon demon!” A voice sounded through the small street just as the creature was opening its mouth... which had grew about two feet already
“HELP!” Sharpay screamed at the new comer and just as suddenly as the creature appeared in front of her, somebody punched it away from her, which let her fall from the ground from the lack of support. Sharpay let out a painful moan as her butt slammed against the hard cement. Glancing over to her rescuer and almost-killer, she found her rescuer punching the bloody hell out of the thing. Within seconds, Sharpay’s rescuer wrapped his arms around the creature and twisted its neck. Sharpay gasped in alarm and the creature’s body suddenly melted.
“Don’t worry, lady, I’m not going to hurt you.” The man said, walking closer to her, with a long leather jacket and platinum blond hair. “I had to kill it so it wouldn’t keep bothering you. One of those things catches you scent… well, it’s not pretty.”
“WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?” Sharpay yelled angrily as she stood up and dusted off the dirt on her clothes, not that it really mattered. Her outfit was ruined because of her almost-killer and the street. She then took in her rescuer and found he was very attractive…
“That, love, was a demon… one of the human eating ones. You alright?”
“Yeah, I’m fine… but you said a demon?” Sharpay asked him in disbelief, sure she saw it melt and its mouth grow, but a DEMON?
“Yes I did… you know one of things that bump in the night?”
“So you’re telling me things really do bump in the night?” Sharpay asked. “Who are you?”
“Name’s Spike… and yeah things definitely bump in the night. Vampires, Demons, you name it.” Spike stated.
“Then what are you?”
Spike smirked, “Vampire.”
“A vampire? I can’t believe I’m speaking to a vampire…” Sharpay said in disbelief. “Aren’t vampires evil?”
“Generally, but since I’m a vampire with a soul… I protect the innocent and blah blah blah. God I’m thirsty… you want a beer?” Spike asked, and Sharpay stared at him.
“Okay, this is way weird, but what the hell so yeah I definitely want a beer.” Spike grinned at her.
“Good, I know the perfect place.”
