Thanks for posting. I've seen you around on AO3 and ff.net haven't I? So far I think Miles/Charlie is my favorite pairing. *grins* You've got some good points about how sex ed might change with no power.

Yup on FFN I'm Harpiebird :) Miles/Charlie is definitely my favorite pairing for the show. And thank you... it's what I believe is happening because while you have mostly Middle Age like stuff due to no electricity, you still have a generation of adults/teens that grew up in a world with electricity as well as all the medical information we've learned. Besides I doubt they have condoms and birth pills would have expired eventually I assume.

I love this show but there are also a lot of things that don't actually make sense in the universe they've created. Every time I see a door with a fresh coat of paint, I cringe. Or their shoes and clothes looking new. And where did the SCA people go? Have you noticed how the adults keep making, what would be, obscure references?

What do you think of Charlie/Miles/Nate?

It's like any kind of show really - there is usually stuff that don't make complete sense in the universe. I don't mind too much because that will just take away from the show. Not sure about SCA people.... but the obscure references - you mean how the world went insane kind of comments but not really explaining?
I think that's on purpose so that in the flashbacks you can see how insane people went from an age of electricity to suddenly back to the middle ages where you now have hunt and gather food (or steal food/supplies from other people). The cities would have been dangerous definitely because there are so many people there suddenly looking for food & whatnot and eventually they'd be willing to do just about anything to do it. I'm sure when more episodes air/produced it'll get better.

Sorry for the ramblings...

But meh on the Charlie/Miles/Nate. I'm not a fan of Nate actually so I wouldn't like that threesome. I doubt I'll like him much in later episodes as well until he does something really really amazing.

SCA is the society of creative anachronism. They run around with swords and such. Like a hard core ren faire.

No, the comments I was thinking of were the ones like in ep 3 when the militia guy is being held by the rebels and makes some comment about watching "days of our lives". Or "one life to live". One of those soaps.

I haven't been impressed with Nate either, which is why I hope they do more character development with him.
