“This smells amazing Piper,” Clark Kent stated as he appeared in the kitchen, his stomach growling reminding him that he was hungry. The room was smelled appetizing, something it had lacked since his mother moved to Washington. Piper Halliwell was the best cook he ever had the pleasure of meeting, even better than his mother, which he swore to never tell her. The last thing he wanted to hurt was his mom’s feelings.
“Thanks Clark, I heard about that train incident, did you get to cover it?” Piper stated with a grin, as she pulled him to her and wrapping her arms around his waist. He grinned cheekily down at her before brushing his lips against hers.
She might have wanted a normal life once, but that dream had long since died. With Clark’s abilities he saved Metropolis and Smallville people daily, something she was very proud of. She didn’t have to hide her witch powers with him and he didn’t have to hide his alien powers with her. And yeah they had to deal with demons or super-powered bad guys nearly daily, but it was oddly soothing that she knew that he had her and her sisters backs and she knew he would be back home at the end of the day. And that despite everything they might have to deal with, she knew he loved her and he knew she loved him.
“So when can I get a taste?” Clark questioned as she pulled away glancing over to the chocolate covered cake, causing Piper to grin wickedly.
“You can get a taste later tonight after dinner or you can have a taste right now.” Piper stated, trailing her fingers from his chest to his lips. At Clark’s blush, Piper chuckled huskily and before she could entice him more, he picked her up and flew them to their bedroom.
