“It seems weird though,” Sam Winchester stated glancing over the books in front of him. Hermione looked up at him with an eyebrow raised in question.
“What seems weird? I feel as if anyone could throw something at me and I wouldn’t be surprised anymore.” Hermione admitted her lips quirking at the thought although she knew there were still things in the world that might surprise her. Like if somehow Harry and Draco got together… now that would shock her, or something just as shocking... an image of Dumbledore and Snape wearing ballerina outfits suddenly appeared in her head causing her to cough to cover her laughter at the thought.
“The fact that suddenly we are being attacked by all these fairy tale related creatures. I mean first the Sleeping Beauty demon and now this? Cinderella’s glass slippers?” Sam questioned, causing Hermione to become serious again. She had to agree, it was a bit odd to find themselves up against all these fairy tale-related attacks.
“Does this mean there’ll be a Little Mermaid out there then?” Dean’s voice cut through their thoughts and made them realize that they weren’t the only ones in the room. Bobby rolled his eyes at the boy before taking a sip of his beer and going back to his reading.
“Actually… I’m not sure, Dean. Sam’s thoughts that this might all be connected to the fairy tales might be on to something. I have to admit that it is a little odd that we’re being hit with a list of different fairy tales the last few weeks.” Hermione glanced down at the book in her hands and her eyes widened slightly. “The Grimm’s Fairy Tales… so far all the hits dealt with Grimm’s fairy tales - Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, Snow White, Red Riding Hood-”
“So basically it means someone found something they shouldn’t have read from and made the fairy tales come to life?” Dean questioned, before letting out a chuckle. “Ah, the old ‘No harm ever came from reading a book’ tale.”
“More than likely, yes. I’ll have to do a little digging to see if this has happened before and if any books about the Grimm’s Fairy Tales were cursed.” Hermione stated as she stood up. Sam grinned at her, causing her face to flush. Thoughts of what later that night might bring gave her a jolt of energy she hadn’t had before.
THE END.
