So the most stressful part of being pregnant thus far has been taking the subway during rush hour every day. People shove you, mow you down, and would knock you right over without a second thought. This usually doesnt bother me because Ive learned how to be an Aggressive New Yorker and can hold my own. But protecting a swelling baby bump adds a whole other element. Now I get so scared and stressed Making my way down the 1 and across the S that by the time I get to Grand Central I'm on the verge of tears! One guy rammed into me tonight and kept on going without a word and I cursed him out at the top of my lungs like a crazy person. I'm talking mad, red rage. Had he said anything back I just may have hit him! Hormones? Maternal instinct? Who knows. There was no logic involved, just raw emotion and a desperate need to protect. I felt like Gollum with the ring!!!
