*I was in the rectory of the church where I worked when I was 13 or so. The old priest, Father O'Brian wanted me to make him a sandwich. There was long thin bread, and he wanted one side scooped out to put mustard (Grey Poupon) in. The meat was some kind of beef that came in a long thin tube, tightly wrapped like sausage. But not smooth, more like beef jerky. I put lettuce and tomatoes on it, and then I remembered that he liked Italian dressing on this sandwich.
Another part involved sitting to dinner with Ellen and her family, and Bea came in with Anand (her fiance). They said they had come to a decision - that they wanted their child to have her Godparents' (Ellen and Chris) last name. I asked, "Would that cause some confusion?" and Ellen said "Do we bite?"
The last thing I remember was being in a clothing store and seeing this really funky purple skirt and a purple belly shirt (that was a button up blouse, just short) to match it. I saw Anne Hathaway coming from across the street and I held up the skirt and nodded then shook my head as a question to whether she liked it, and she nodded that it was good. I vaguely remember people being really scared of me as I went to the store.*
Greece is very nice. The weather's practically perfect. I haven't done too much touristy stuff yet, but I've been hanging out with Manolis' friends - which is nice but kinda sucky since we can't really communicate so well - and his daughter, Niki, who is kickass. She's taken it upon herself to be my Greek teacher. So far I've gotten all 'A's. ;) I've had some awesome food (we had a huge fish at his friend Lefteri's house that they had grilled for them - like takeout) and some not-so-good food - some weird little fish that had thick skin and a weird texture. Yesterday we went to the beach for the first time. The water's so nice and I collected a bunch of really awesome pebbles. I probably looked like a total dork, but I just think it's freaking amazing how round and smooth they get. I found one that's a near-perfect circle and a bunch of ridiculously symmetrical ovals. And some just have fun colors. :)
