I am loving the summer right now!

Sorry about this one im more just writing things down then wanting anyone to actually have to read this cause its long. more of just a record of my vacation.

Ireland is the best place in the world. i want to live there. okay so i just got back on sunday and im already missing it! we went to dublin for a few days and met my cousing Gerard, Patricia and their kids Maria, Louise, and Rachel. We saw the book of kells at trinity college which was actually really cool because it's like 1500 years old or something like that which really makes me believe that there has to be a god or some higher power because they can't have just been making it up this whole time. then we went to grafton street the next morning which was sooo much fun because its this pedestrian shopping street and all of the stores were have sales at 50 and 70 percent off because they were getting rid of all their summer stuff which i thought was hilarious because its was the third week of july. then we did lots of the touristy stuff st. patricks cathedral, guinness brewry, bus tour. it was so much fun and i have never seen so many attractive guys in my whole life. the irish really know how to dress they're very cool. it wasn't so much that they were hot as they were handsome in a very charming way. and they're so much different than here when your walking down the street and you see a guy they will look you in the eye and give you a huge smile which is the cutest thing ever!

so then we drove to cavan to go stay with our relative Sean and Mary and their kids Kerri, Tara, and Aaron. and i saw my first ever gaelic football game. and again boys!my cousin was on the under 18 team so it was very nice to watch but the funniest thing was that all of their legs were like fluorescent white! i would have fit right in because im well, pasty. then we went and visited with my dad's aunt rose and sean and mary, pat, tom, mary, and kids--> ciarin, ashlin, vera, sarah, jaimie and roisin then the day after that is was a huge party because it was my great and lily's 81st b-day and so i met tons of people. im going to try and write them all down so if i go back i can use this as a kind of reference. okay so there was lily, mary, finton, geraldine, their kids-->stephen, eoghen, and roisin and baby paul then pauline and eugene-->aisling then carmel--connor and then vanessaand her fiancee stephen then vincent. so altogether the total amount of family i met on the trip was 38. huge.

the irish are really hilarious. they have this quick wit that i swear they are born with. my cousin finton took my sister and i to his dairy farm and my cousins stephen and eoghen who are ten and nine were feeding the baby cows when eoghen found that one of the cows left a surprise in the feeding trough. then the following conversation ensued.

Eoghen:Dad someone left a shit in the trough.
Finton: who did that?
Eoghen: i did
Finton: why'd you do that?
Eoghen: sorry dad i didn't mean to i'll try not to do it again.

and eoghen kept a straight face through the whole conversation and finton was talking to him and it was like they rehearsed it. i was peeing my pants it was so funny. i don't know if it's one of those things where you had to be there. but then i got to milk a cow! it was easier then i thought it was going to be. and then me and all of my cousins had a water fight which was so much fun i've never laughed so hard in my life.

Then when we went back to lily's house i got to hold finton and geraldine's two week old son paul and he was the first baby i've ever held. he was so tiny and when i held him i could feel his heart beating and because he was so tiny that if felt like his heart beat was rocking him back and forth. it was a really nice way to end the night. man this post is huge i think i'll have to make it a two parter because i have to go for supper now. sorry if that was a boring read!
