Writing

Hey, flist. I am currently at a Panera with likeadeuce, who I am visiting. We are both theoretically writing, but she is having more success than I am. I can't seem to decide what to work on, and it all seems really intimidating, original fiction and fanfic alike. Any encouragement in one direction or another would be appreciated! In the meantime, here, have some Roy/Hughes snuggling without context that I did manage to write today:

~*~

They lay together on the narrow mattress endemic to military school dorms; even Roy's abundant charm hadn't been able to conjure up a bigger bed. But they didn't need much space, pressed together as they were, Roy's body curled to fit into the contours of Maes' lanky frame. Their knees were pressed together, bent at obtuse angles, Maes' feet sticking out several inches past Roy's. Above, Maes had wrapped one arm securely around Roy's waist, his hand tucked up under Roy's shirt and splayed across his warm belly. Roy's own arms were pulled close, one tucked under his head while the other made a loose fist against his chest that flexed whenever Maes kissed his neck. And Maes was intent on kissing his neck, deliberately and methodically, letting the sharp ends of Roy's glossy hair tickle his nose.

Maes leaned in closer, nibbling against Roy's earlobe, feeling the little spasms of pleasure in Roy's stomach through the skin of his palm. He sighed happily into Roy's ear. "You know exactly how gorgeous you are, don't you?"

Maes felt the muscles in Roy's jaw adjust into a smile. "Of course I do. But I'm always happy to hear it."

Maes laughed, nipping at Roy's ear again, and snuggled even closer.
