Remix author names are revealed, so I can finally post about it!
I got two awesome fics this year. The first is
Soldier On (Faith is My Shield Remix), a remix of an old TM prompt I did about Steve Rogers and loss,
Something to Lose. It was written by
snowynight/sinngrace, and it extends the concept to later parts of Steve's life, including the much-neglected (but beloved by me) dying-in-the-90s storyline. Cool!
The other is a Remix Madness fic,
Hold Me Tight and Tell Me You'll Miss Me (What Dreams May Come Remix), which is, as I TOTALLY predicted, by
pocky_slash. It's a remix of my Dead Poets Society fic,
Perchance to Dream, which is one of the fics I've written that I'm most proud of. If you thought my fic had a gut punch of woe at the end, just go and read Kait's -- it's a painful, BEAUTIFUL piece that twists up the dream concept and creates something even more haunting and lovely and perfect. Oh, oh. If you're into the idea of Neil/Todd at all, you need to read that IMMEDIATELY.
As for me? I wrote pure Steve/Tony in
Scale and Perspective (The Technicolor Remix), which I will be posting to LJ soon. It was a remix of
jazzypom's
Greyscale, a fantastic, atmospheric piece about Steve's art and how drawing Tony makes him see him through new eyes. I flipped things around to Tony's point of view, extended the story past its original end point, and added some flashbacks, and hopefully the end result is something that does justice as a complement to the original.
Feel free to link anything you guys wrote for Remix in the comments!
