Yuletide Reveals!

Jan 01, 2011 16:30

Drive-by posting, because I'm still in the middle of a lot of (very fun) New Year's-related shenanigans, but I wanted to drop in and reveal what Yuletide stories I wrote.

My actual Yuletide assignment, which I defaulted on initially but managed to finish up on Christmas day, is Three Mornings, a gen fic for the movie Frequency, written for Vyola. I love the movie, and I was happy to get the chance to write a fic about it, though it's more a series of reactionary vignettes than anything substantive. Still, if you've seen the film, feel free to read the fic!

My other fic was a full-length treat, posted before my actual fic when I realized that something I'd been working on fit brandy_took's request really well. It's Nothing Man, an 8,600-word Ex Machina fic about Bradbury. It was a labor of love that I spent a HUGE amount of time on, and ultimately I'm pretty proud of it, even though I know the potential audience is very limited. It contains major spoilers for the last issue of the series, so I'd advise you not to read if you're not caught up, but otherwise I'd be happy for anyone's thoughts.

The fic for me, meanwhile, was written by Verical, about whom I know nothing, but who is clearly awesome for writing such an amazing fic. If you haven't already, you should definitely read it; go back to my last Yuletide post for my full rec.

And now, back to my regularly-scheduled New Year's Day!

fic, yuletide
