So I signed up for
schmoop_bingo. This works even better for me than h/c -- I think my problem with h/c isn't that I can't do comfort, it's that if I'm GOING for angst, I find it hard to turn it around. Schmoop allows me to just be ridiculous first and foremost. I mean, I don't expect to write pure fluff -- I like plot, I like psychological complexity -- but having license to not have to go through horrible angst to come out the other side makes things easier.

I am REALLY happy with the two kidfic prompts. Less happy with the three illness prompts -- I don't really fetishize the common cold? -- but the injury prompt is easy enough for figure skating. Soulbonding is something I've never really understood, but Scott and Jean pretty much have a canon soulbond, so I can work with it. And the combination of "meeting the parents" and "Thanksgiving" means that I DEFINITELY have to write that Scott/Warren XMFC idea I had forever ago.
If anyone has any suggestions for any other squares, hit me! It's likely to be a lot of Marvel and figure skating, with sprinklings of Newsies and maybe Boy Meets World (I'm having my biannual renaissance). But feel free to suggest whatever!
